Schubert 200 project

Together with pianist Ammiel Bushakevitz, Samuel Hasselhorn will go on a journey through the last years of Franz Schubert‘s life starting in the fall of 2023: „Schubert 200“ is tracing until 2028 with 5 CD recordings (harmonia mundi) the composers‘ last years through works that were always created exactly 200 years ago. Multiple activities on and off concert stage will accompany this special project. The first CD („Die Schöne Müllerin“) will be released on September 22nd, 2023.

Season 2023/24

Samuel is looking forward to be making some exciting role debuts in the season 23/24 such as Mathis (Mathis der Maler), Pelléas (Pelléas et Mélisande), and Eisenstein (Die Fledermaus) at Staatstheater Nürnberg, as well as Wolfram von Eschenbach (Tannhäuser) at Deutsche Oper Berlin. He will also revisit Figaro (Il barbiere di Siviglia) at Staatsoper Berlin and Don Giovanni at Staatstheater Nürnberg.

 

Schubert CD „Glaube, Liebe, Hoffnung“

In May 2022 Harmonia Mundi released Samuel‘s newest CD „Glaube, Hoffnung, Liebe“ with Lieder by Franz Schubert. Joseph Middleton is his collaborator.
